Vitamin A Injection.

 

Indications for Use

Oil-based solution of Vitamin A for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin A deficiency in cattle.

 

Composition

Vitamin A 500,000 i.u. per ml

Vitamin E 50 i.u. per ml

 

Dosage

Weaners (250 kg body mass) 1 ml per head.

Adults (500 kg body mass) 2 ml per head.

 

Directions for use: Use only as directed.

Inject intramuscularly using a 15-18 gauge needle of 405 cm length.

Application should be made in a well fleshed area, preferably in the neck muscle.

Use clean, sterilized needles and syringes, also disinfect the site of injection and bottle cape with alcohol or other disinfectant.

A standard dose of 1 ml/250 kg body mass (viz. 2 000 i.u. per kg body mass) is recommended once every three months.

 

Storage

Store below 25°C away from light.

Store partially used bottles in a refrigerator.

 

Important

Under intensive farming conditions, the Vitamin A needs requirements may be much higher, but consult a veterinarian or animal nutritionist before the dosage rate is increased.
